CDI – 101_Octane AC

Unlimited AC CDI. NOTE: There are two types of CDI for this model – AC and DC. The difference is that AC is powered by the flywheel magnet in the engine and DC is powered by the battery. It is therefore up to the customer to check this themselves.

To test whether your machine is AC or DC, remove the wires from your battery, turn the key and test if the machine can start using the kickstarter. If it starts, your machine has an AC ignition system, if it does not start, your machine has a DC ignition system.

NOTE: Compare the plug on your original CDI with the plug on this CDI to make sure it fits.
